The United Nations (UN) has begun to mobilise efforts to build a better world with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Built on its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls all countries to improve the planet and lives of people through a number of Global Goals. In September 2015, the world leaders agreeably adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the historic UN Summit in New York.

As the SDGs are not legally binded, governments are expected to take ownership and establish national frameworks for the achievement of the 17 Goals by 2030. On January 1st 2016, the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development officially came into force. Over the next fifteen years, countries all over the world have the primary responsibility for implementation of the SDGs to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change.

IN ADVANCE WITH THE ENVIRONMENT

NOVENCO Building & Industry is already highly involved in the achievement of goal no. 13 Climate Action, which is strongly associated with The Paris Agreement from 2015 and reflects NOVENCO’s daily efforts and actions for innovative and responsible production in harmony with the climate.

Consideration to the environment in the design and manufacturing of ventilation equipment and fans is the most essential duty for NOVENCO Building & Industry. The resource-friendly products reflect this dedication with long life spans and environmentally friendly production processes.

NOVENCO’S COMMITMENT TO THE UN’S 2030 AGENDA

Almost as old as the UN, NOVENCO Building & Industry dates back to 1947, where we began design, development and production of our first fans. Much has happened since and much experience gained with implementation and adaptation of products and systems. Today these ideas and efforts go into our research and development of products that are on the technological forefront and in sync with UN’s goals for 2030.

The performance and durability of the products are ground-breaking, but there is still room for improvement. This we learn from our customers, the business environment and new legislative measures, which all call for innovative solutions. The products of tomorrow are already here, and we have ideas and know-how for creating them. We believe that our best products hold glimpses of what can be expected and that we through our commitment can help uncover the next generation of ventilation products.

The production facilities are located in Denmark and are in agreement with the environmental standards according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. We diminish the strain put on the environment, as we reduce energy consumption, improve waste sorting, minimize steel scrap and evaluate our product range and suppliers from an environmental point of view. The efforts it takes to serve the environment and markets with products in accordance with UN’s goals for sustainable development is a constantly growing challenge we commit ourselves to every day. We specialise in development and implementation of highly effective fans for ventilation, which require minimal resources to run and reduce the discharge of harmful substances.
