NOVENCO to deliver pressurisation-systems for the high-rise Grotius towers in The Hague, Netherlands

On the Maria Stuart Square in The Hague the two Grotius towers is under construction. Once complete, the towers will rise 100 and 120 m from street level, respectively, comprise 655 apartments and have carpark facilities for 245 cars. The towers will have a rather special appearance, as they mix different architectural themes and will have unique roofs that resemble crowns. NOVENCO Building & Industry has won the design, supply of equipment, mounting and commissioning of the certified pressurisation-systems for both towers.
Due to the special layout of the roofs, the placement of the overpressure fans was a major challenge in the design, which also had to meet high efficiency requirements. A combination of a highly advanced regulation and an optimally chosen system meets both the requirements of the Dutch regulations and the wishes of the end-customer. The ventilation of the carpark area also falls within the scope of the assignment given by the building contractor. The inauguration of the towers is planned for mid-2022.
