Today, the 22nd April, is the 50th celebration of Earth Day. This year, Earth Day takes place in the light of the most widespread and deadly pandemics the world has seen for generations. The Corona, or Covid-19, virus is global in nature and knows no borders. It shuts down large parts of social life and threatens economies around the world. Whilst we are facing this adversity, current studies of the environment, weather and nature are showing enormous reductions in greenhouse gases, clearly demonstrating how much human activities influence the climate.
